Student Interaction

Student interaction is considered to be an important component of the academic experience at the College. Both the facility and class organization are designed to encourage opportunities for student communication. Class assignments include group work and cooperative learning activities. Students are encouraged to contact the Dean of Students if they wish to join or start a special interest group.

Student Government Association

The Student Government Association (SGA) serves to represent the voice of the students to the administration. The SGA provides consultation of college-wide projects; assists in the development of programs; hosts an annual “sound-off” event; and works to enhance the quality of student life. The Association is made up of an executive board and senators from the residential and commuter populations. Elections are typically held each fall. Contact Student Services at 603.296.6377 for more information.

Counseling Services

Students in need of counseling services may seek these confidential services through the Student Life Office. Hesser College has contracted with an external mental health agency to provide a limited number of short-term counseling sessions for students. In most cases, the sessions are free or at a very low cost. All counseling sessions are held on the Manchester campus. Call extension 6378 or 603.296.6378 for more information.
